AIR (Australian Investment Review) was an online weekly magazine that has been running since 2005. I was responsible for designing the covers for a time while in my last permanent role in a design studio. I worked in close collaboration with the editor of AIR. The editor would send me the cover lines, a brief outline of the major stories and his ideas. I will discuss these with him, source appropriate imagery, combine and retouch as necessary and up to three concepts. The editor will choose one and that get submitted as a PDF and a jpg for the AIR website.

The cover design was done for a set fee and the total time allocated for it was 2 hours. I achieved not only the deadline, but the time/cost allocation which meant a win/win for both client and studio.
